As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks and ensuring accurate medical billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical billing procedures.Responsibilities:Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, providing assistance and information as needed.Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate staff members.Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.Accurately input patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history into electronic health records (EHR) systems.Process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, utilizing knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures.Prepare and submit insurance claims electronically, ensuring compliance with billing regulations and timely reimbursement.Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve billing discrepancies or denials in a timely manner.Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents as needed.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is preferred.Proven experience working as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical or chiropractic setting.Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems; experience with programs such as Medisoft, Kareo, Athena or CharmHealth is a plus.Strong understanding of medical billing processes, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, insurance verification, and claim submission.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and insurance companies.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a positive attitude.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.Previous experience in a chiropractic or healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.Join Our Team:If you are a dedicated professional with experience in medical billing and a passion for providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
